Glaciers of memories,
Looming above the azure water.
Still, and clear,
Reflecting the sky,
A mixture of last night’s thoughts,
And this mornings,
Meeting eachother in the water.
I stand on the glaciers,
Trying not to let the memories engulf me,
Or the tips of the moon’s thoughts,
Pierce me.
Avoiding the sun’s glare,
That holds the face,
Of someone from long ago.
I lay down on the ice,
As if that would protect me,
From every fear that,
I have sheltered inside,
My heart.
As if that will stop,
The moon from piercing me,
Or the sun from glaring at me,
It’s all around.
I can’t escape.
I stare into the pristine water,
Watching the moon ripple,
Across the water,
A silent gesture,
To come in.
Why not let it pierce me?
Another hole inside me,
Will be nothing,
I have thousands.
They let the lies,
Seep in,
An acidic substance,
Of purple smoke,
A poison that penetrates,
All walls.
All the walls that have been built up,
Over the years.
All of the layers,
To keep out the hurt.
The lies penetrate me,
Disingrating me into nothing,
Like paper in water.
The moon seems to be calling me now,
Why not just do it?
Escape the memories…
I slip into the cool water,
Without a sound.
I enter a cool grey world,
Everything is monochrome,
A blank canvas of greys and whites.
Expressionless people greet me,
A thousand others stand behind them.
I had stayed on that island of ice,
Far too long and alone,
Never realizing,
That there was a world I could enter,
That was free from…
Memory.
