Caught amongst the sleeping willows
A nightingale sings a storm.
It chirps its lies and hidden meanings
Tricking the young fair maidens.
Silent, sneaking, the maidens come
And discover the birds' true message.
Tears devour, consume the girls
As they watch their heroes fall.
Longing lost for such a life
The maidens disappear.
One by one, they cease their thoughts
And dream their lovers lost.
Desperate though their Romeos are
Only one will make it through.
But the sleeping women won't awake
His kiss has not commanded.
Searching for his one true love
Not one will breathe his touch.
Light fades away from the heroes' life.
Hope ceases from his thoughts.
Caught amongst the sleeping willows
A nightingale sings a storm.
It chirps its lies and hidden meanings
Destroying the last true chivalry.

Great write! It totally reminded me of a much shorter version of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" which is one of my favorite poems. It was so deep and meaningful. It just flowed and was an easy read. It mellowed me out really well. Awesome job
