Moon has surrendered to her sleep,
trees have settled in to sigh,
shutters on cedar sills
beg notice to be given
Tick on rooftop tile,
bodes some ill will to shingle’s gap-gasp,
half-lidded dream has eyed this darkness;
stays warily weak with fear
Who knocks? Who comes?
What dark crow of caution should I tend?
Words tripping up and down my spine
to nest in shorthairs at neck nape
and I am a shook puppy
by its mother’s stud as threat
to stay abed and not to bother
anyone with anything about doors
until dawn has taught me what I missed.

Some things ask not to be discovered, something within us says don't pull back the curtain, if we do not we will always wonder, if we do...; well i never did...wonderful writing...PK

Fear of the unknown can be scarey
It's best to know what you're up against, right?
I needs to Ponder this Poem some more...

What dark crow of caution should I tend?"
Ya gotz me thinkin' again, m'Lady

Your writes lately are different from your normal. I like this side to you...There is a dynamic allure in the new words you pen. I just love them.
