There she stands, clutching a teddy bear
In her arms, her bottom lip quivers
As she looks upwards through eyes so fair
They mirror the face of her father,
Standing above her, arms folded, cold
Merciless eyes staring down at his
Child so innocent, so helpless,
She cries for daddy
But daddy doesn’t listen
Instead he looks right through her
As she screams and screams, her tears glisten
And she pulls and pulls at his trouser leg,
Until she realises with shock,
That she’s already dead.
