Throughout the Years

Throughout the years
Your love has surrounded,
You calm my fears,
Your grace is ever abounding.

My heart rejoices because you have saved me,
You put into action your plan of redemption,
You called me out of darkness
Into the light of your salvation.

I am secure in the knowledge that I belong to you,
Your love is eternal,
You're forever the same,
You give abundant life to all who call on your name.

You give me strength when I am weak,
In my distress you bring me peace,
You turn my mourning into dancing,
You set my feet on solid ground.

I will praise you, Lord, as long as I live,
And when life's journey comes to an end,
I will join the company of forgiven sinners
Who see the face of Jesus, their Eternal Friend!
