Let go
Plane disappears
Air rushes through helmet
Parachute opens, God`s quiet
Step down

I recently had a vision of sliding down a tube fast, and not knowing what was on the other end. I didn't want to stop in the vision, but then I did, quickly, I moved on again. What I learned from your poem is that I was opening up to faith! Thanks!

for some reason the last line I thought slope or glide down...but still I like what you did with your cinquain...

Thank you
Twenty parachutes would become hopelessly tangled.
You have to have Faith in one, like God.
Unless you want to walk a mile back to the airstrip,
you have to steer the chute down. -
It would definitely take a leap of faith that I certainly don't have to get me out of that plane, no matter if I had 20 parachutes on.

I like line four, it suggests the peace after the chute opens. I would guess that after it successfully opens, the rest is just a peaceful glide to the earth.
Thanks for entering the contest.
