You told me there was
no such thing as magic,
but I've been to the circus
and watched the tricks there.
Hands of the clown moving swiftly through the air.
It's more than disappearing acts,
so just let the wonder flow.
I don't understand
why you can't believe in
what you can not see.
Have a little fun with your imagination
and some faith in me.
Where's the fun in
pretending that illusions aren't real?
Fairies and golbins they breathe and they feel.
You too could see them if you just opened your eyes.
Magic can't be fake otherwise the whole world is telling lies.
Sprinkle some glitter,
wear it in your hair.
You could act like a child,
if only you'd dare.
Some people might laugh
but most wouldn't care.
Get down on your knees,
or climb up a tree.
Just look at the world
and see what others see.
Magic is more than illusions,
at least it is to me.

I really like how the poem turned out. It's just...haha, magical. It definitely would have made the finalists list, probably would have won at least an honorable mention.
