Or be the firebrand Indian Vish-kanaya type.
Waiting for a patent definitely a loner, forlorn hype,
Homing pigeons flight, poor soul forced to resign.
On the ramp, it is the pretty fashion girl’s who fight,
Nice polished clean, on their toes, Tiara within sight.
A munching cow, bellowing buffalo, gurgle fright,
How ridiculous! Place yourself above the male might.
Menaka, Urvashi and Rambha in transgenic moles,
Classic som ras props, drunken godly souls.
Vishwamitra episode, Indra’s throne-saving role,
Neither Heaven, nor Earth for you, whose sticky goal?

Vish-kanaya,
Poison girls used by kings to destroy their opponents, enemy kings.
Menaka, Urvashi and Rambha
The three dancers of heaven; who were used by Indra (king of heaven, Lord of Rain) as moles to defeat his opponents.
som ras
Whisky, alcohol
Vishwamitra episode, Indra’s throne-saving role.
Vishwamitra a saint, had become so powerful he could remove Indra from his throne.
So Indra sent Menaka to entice him. And she was successful.
Because Vishwamitra could not enter the heavens
He built another abode in between heaven and earth.

I usually hate rhyme....but not this....this is exactly how rhyme should be done, its not distracting, it adds to your flow and to the poem itself....nicely done....thanks for entering

Beautifully written from the picture. I really enjoyed how your interpretation lead you into Hindu Mythology and incorportated to date events that are constantly occuring. Vishvamitra was known for his creation of Svarga, and was unhappy with his heaven and was transformed into a constellation. As is Menaka, an intriguing distraction.Yet in your piece you point out the exploits and audacity of abuse of their nature. A very profound piece of poetry you have written from this picture prompt.
Excellent!
Thank you for entering!!
