June
Named after juno
the godess of marriage
who brings honeysuckle
and love to the alters
to say I do.
The month of my birth
where the crab in me
side tracks my thoughts
to the scent of roses,
where the lover in me
wants to roam at night
in daylight by the sun
and the moon.
That hay will be baled
stacked for the sunshine
and the songs of the birds
tone down as the sound
of the crickets swell.
I'll love on
the solstise
to make it last
Flounce my skirts
to make the dandilion seed
dance with me in
the green fields of June.

I can see that smiling, Irish girl romping through the clover in June, dancing with the dandilions and fairies, no less!!!
