I miss
my Mom and Dad
I lost my Dad last year
I lost my Mom two weeks ago
I cry.

I lost my Dad last year on Father's Day and my Mom just recently passed away on May.31/2008. I go to bed every night and cry.

    My heart breaks for you dear. It's so hard to lose your parents....
    My mom died in 1995 from Lou Gehrig and it still affects me so much.
    My father in law died in 2002 from cancer and we lost our 5 week old granddaughter this past March 28.
    If you need a friend, i'm usually around.

    Cynthia, thank you for sharing a vulnerable experience with us. There is nothing that reminds us more of our own mortality than the loss of one of our parents, you have lost both and within such a short time span.
    To be able to write with such profound feelings so soon after losing your mom speaks volumes of the strong person you are, and the great way you were raised..precious lady, may you find peace during this time of difficulty.

    so so sorry to read this...but though my life had taken me down the road motherless...I know all to well the pain of losing parents all to well...keep your chin up...can say it gets easier...but im hopeful you will become strong...sad but lovely cinquain..

    Oh my gosh. We all pray with you. The loss of your parents in such a short period of time would be very heartbreaking. I knew about your dad and saddened by the loss now of your mom. Peace be with you. Good luck in the cinquain contest.

    I'm sorry Cynthia, I had no idea. This was a painful poem to read. I lost my dad a little more than 22 years ago and I remember how traumatic that time was for me and my family.

    I wish you all the best, and it does get easier, eventually, though I don't mean to minimize your hurt.

    A hug for you

    Cynthia: oh my friend, here is a big solid hug for you and we can wipe our eyes together. I still shed tears and my Mom and Dad have been gone 18 and 12 years. It does get more handleable -- honest -- and I will keep positive loving thoughts going your direction.
