The days were once all mine
As I once ruled the night
They were at my beck and call
I was the flame that burned so bright
But now those days have gone
Now I walk those streets alone
I once held court among the stars
With friends and enemies alike
I would weigh and ponder every word
Then like a cobra I would strike
One time I held the very keys

On the wind I heard them call
These days are closing in
The nights are longer now
Between sunrise and the dawn
I've been stranded here somehow
So say a prayer for me
Remember me some time
I used to rule the days
When I used to know my mind
I used to rule the days
But there are none now I can find...
