[ The gas gauge is leaning on the edge of E, ]

The gas gauge is leaning on the edge of E,
All my clothes are thrown in the back seat,
The taste of whiskey on my breath,
The taste of cigarettes there instead.
A lonley road to show for all the work I have done.
Running away from shattered dreams.
Tears admist my eyes,
No where in mind to go.
The honking of horns.
As my car comes to a stop.
At the end of the road,
My gas gauge is one E.
I am in for the big sleep.

Please tell me what you think

    Nice

I really like this. It sounds like you are talking about the end of a life and no matter what, we are always alone at the end. Great write, Jane
