Diamonds in my eyes
Staring into the studded sky
A puff of clouds breezing across the pale moon
Paler and paler it grows still
Stretching across these satin sheets
Sheets that smell of you
Staring past my angels as I puff my cigaratte
A puff of smoke like dreams stretching higher and high, ripping apart at the seams of existance in my mind
This bed empty, empty of life, love, and dreams
Only nightmares stake out claims here as I stare up at the stars
That blue velvet we made love under in fields of flowers
Drops of dew like stars on our skin as we made dreams of own
These sheets cold and stiff, starched to death by the lack of love here
Dusty and brittle, unmoved by time or me
Only two can move these sheets, shake the dust away
But time has robbed you from me, these sheets starched white with age
Another gulp of fire, rum burning in my stomach
Yet never warming my soul
The stars, tears of angels dotting the velvet
You called me your angel once
So all my tears must be there
Another drag from this smoky filter
Another gulp from this crystal glass
Another tear not shed
Another night come to past
These sheets whisper calls for two
The night so lonely as I wish I still had you
The smoke rising off to the clouds
Another glass of empty promises to keep me company

This is so good! I really liked - 'Another gulp of fire, rum burning in my stomach.. Yet never warming my soul'. Such a great contrast.

Thoughts of what was
This seems sad that these thoughts never enter their minds until their gone then wishes of the times comes to play to wish her back if not but for one more day

This is very beautiful. It has great imagery and flow. So many things can be drawn from this. I wish you much luck in the contest.
