Ben, Bayith lox- always son, never daughter
Always the barak, the blessing
Precious blessing...
Rip-tear: tradition, carve out "NEW"
Find new love in half-circle dirt on sidewalks
Lose old 'awen, hindrances
Delve into that which has never been explored before,
No safety net this time.
Join the progressive, the liberal, in our struggle
Compliance is for the weak, silence is for the dead.
Author notes
All Biblical Hebrew words have been transliterated more or less phonetically.
Ben: Son
Bayith: daughter
Lox: negative particle, acts on preceeding word (bayith lox= not daughter)
Barak: blessing
'awen: trouble

Thank you very much.
I have been studying Biblica Hebrew at my university for the past three years, so it wasn't really any extra effort at all, lol.

It is Good
But It was more of a learning lesson for me than a poem that isn't a bad thing though so don't take offense. it was beautifully written. ~mandie~ -
