O wondrous world that comes to me
as I lay down upon my bed.
Magical things these dreams may be.
A fairyland beyond the sea
with pixies dancing in my head;
O wondrous world that comes to me.
This special place where I may flee
with luscious treats before me spread.
Magical things these dreams may be.
I rule this land and I decree
that no harsh words will e'er be said.
O wondrous world that comes to me.
A joyous vision that I see;
the charming prince someday I'll wed.
Magical things these dreams may be.
The daylight ends my reverie,
and all my fantasies I shed.
O wondrous world that comes to me.
Magical things these dreams may be.

A lovely Villanelle, I'm going to visit your Fairy land in a minute, because it's 1.41am overhere and I have to get up early for a photo shoot in the country. I'll be dreaming of fairies, I'm sure.

This Villanelle is a delight to read. If only, hey? I'd love to visit it in my dreams every night for a refresher of love and kindness...with no harsh words....Mmmmm... *drifts off into a starry-eyed reverie*

Quite well done with the Villanelle which is not an easy form to keep flowing. You have done a fie job here with dreamland and dreams being a fantasy land.

A well crafted villanelle. Magical and whimsical. Good flow, rhyme and tone. Nice imagery. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Well penned. Best wishes in the contest.

This is lovely, and gives such a sense of joy and fragile perfection, knowing it must end... *sigh*... I thought this was a wonderful use of the form!
