Mother -
Although so far I do live
Remembering the joy your smiles give
Fear often envelopes my lone heart
Ghosts of devoirs pull us apart
Heart still hears your lullaby at night
Cuddled in your lap my dreams delight
Knowing that someday we'll be near
Lends a smile, and curbs my fear
Pain of parting becomes less severe

This is a beautiful poem, i live far away from my family right now too, and it hard for me, hopefully i will be moving home soon, and i hope you get to at least visit her, you did a great job with the letters, i wish you lots of luck in the contest, and as always keep up the wonderful writing, ~Amy
