Boundless Beauty

How beautiful is a friendship
Although distance be between
How much I regard your lovely face
Although that face has not been seen

Beauty has no boundaries
Quality no barrier can hold back
And to me it seems there is no
Wonderful quality that you lack

Such a short time I have know you
But your words have touched my soul
They soothe my inner turmoil
with their tender ebb and flow

May God bless your life with healing
happiness and health
and in every area of your life
Joy, peace and spiritual wealth

Author notes

I recently told Karen that to me, her poetry was like a throat lozenge for the soul, and it is!!

I appreciate the honesty and transparency of your feelings. I know that this is the sort of thing that touches karen deeply. (Editorial note: Last verse first line May instead of My.) Thanks for entering and most of all thanks for delighting Karen.
    Love, Tom B.

Thank you kindly, and especially for letting me know about my little typo, I make little mistakes like that rather frequently so rely on people to let me know!

I make typos all the time and love to know as soon as possible so I can correct them. Mechanical errors simply detract from the experience and are so easily corrected. You of course are welcome.
        Love Tom B.

Bec! Thank you... Again, there are tears reading this blessing. "Joy, peace, and spiritual wealth," constitute the inner sanctity of heaven. I catch glimpses in bits and pieces of beauty as I journey and hang on for dear life! It's a little like being tumbled in a kaleidoscope, and seeing the brilliance, but not the entire ever changing patterns in the upheaval, until God centers me and I am quiet enough to glean a fuller picture outside the turmoil.

How many of us go through it daily, and how often I have entertained angels unaware. These heartfelt words show me one more complex heart reflecting the myriad lights and the incomparable beauty of Soul.

    I love you, too, Bec!

    Perfect

I second these words for Karen. She has been one of my dearest friends on this site. She is a wise and wonderful woman.

Thank you, Mark. It's a funny thing about wisdom. I never feel that smart. My curiosity sometimes gets me in all kinds of trouble. I so often feel the way your 8-year-old self did exploring the street of Santa Monica, only my path has not been nearly so delineated. It's been my joy to take a trek through your eyes and heart, Mark, and make it part of mine.

      Love, Karen

Well, see, now that is just exactly what I'm talking about. Your comments to myself and others are as poetic and full of heart as your poems are. I don't usually say it to friends online because there's so much missing from virtual friendships - eye contact, voice inflections, etc., (not to mention HUGS!) - but I can honestly say that I love you. Your goodness travels right through all this technology and shoots out of my computer monitor like a rainbow.

        Mark
