I want you to remember.
Remember with every sense.
Everything must remind you of me.
Sight
Remember my shape. You knew every contour of my body.
The way my lips moved when I’m excited. You knew what to do.
The way I always smile when I’m nervous. You knew what to say.
Smell
Remember the smell of the ocean in my hair. You loved it.
The scent of perfume that you couldn’t quite recognize on my skin. It drove you crazy.
The smell of flowers you brought me every morning. You knew my favorite.
Sound
Remember my laugh in the morning and at night. You knew the difference.
The weird noise I made in my sleep. You didn’t mind.
My singing that crackled with ever note. You sang along with me.
Touch
My skin right after I got out of the shower. You loved my imperfections.
Holding my hand. You knew it was always there for you.
Feeling my heart beat through my chest when you embrace me. You always knew how to get me going.
Taste
Remember the taste of strawberries at 3 a.m. We always had a craving.
The bitter taste of sunscreen. We always forgot it was on our hands.
The taste of each other. Indescribable.
I want everything to remind you of me.
A picture, a fragrance, a song, a breeze, a food.
I want it to drive you crazy.
I want everything to make you miss me everyday.
It’s only fair when I have to do the same.

This piece had great emotion, but I feel as if it would've maybe been more effective if it had been broken into clear stanzas and trains of thought..other than that I really enjoyed this piece!
Thanks for the entry!
