Your eyes have grown
distant, no longer
seeing me. The inertia
of indifference is all
that remains.
Then, your lips touch mine
and my reason flees
in lyrical dissonance…
only the beat of my
heart and the music
dancing along wanton
nerves remains…
Feelings of ecstasy
carved out of ice.
