Caught in your neatly woven web of lies,
wearing my heart on my sleeve.
You care not to hear my plea,
no you would rather leave.
You took the needle in your hand
and ran it through my heart.
You built me up then tore me down
with no clue where to start.
How do I untie myself from you
and the memories we have sewn?
The closer that I got to you
the further from others I've grown.
Bound to you by blood and tears,
connected for all time.
I hope that you can sleep at night
with the memories of your crime.

I really love how you wove this and used the picture as a metaphor to your advantage. The first two lines in stanza three are my favorites. Wonderful take on the picture.

Excellent take on the picture! Pain is a strong tie! Taking time to weaken and sometimes never occurring. Very sad but well written!
