She's the lost star in the night
And no one is able to point her out
As obviously as the North Star.
But still she continues to twinkle faintly
In the hopes of one day being noticed
Apart from the billons of others.
And maybe someday someone will wish
Upon her and give her the purpose
She's waited so long for.

She's the last drop of sanity
In an empty ocean of dreams
And the sun can only reflect and
Light her up from so many angles.
But still she radiates
Like the lost diamond of innocence
That is hidden beneath miles of earth.
And maybe someday she'll touch
The roots to the Tree Of Life
Replenishing what has been lost
While God was sleeping.
