Cold rain,
but yesterday was beautiful.
Typical spring.
But I'm nowhere near as innocent
as April's past nineteen.
I've got her on my mind,
and a sad song on my lips.
But for her kiss,
I know I'd stop singing it.
Sky,
grey, cloudy sky,
turn blue like the eyes
of the one I should really be singing to.
Hand,
lonely and cold,
reach out and be bold.
Take her hand, let her know that it warms you.
Time,
flying so fast,
bring her back, let us last,
cause my heart is longing to be in--
Love,
near me or far,
I wanna be where you are.
I don't care if the others would call it quit.
The snow-oh
last week was beautiful.
Could've been more,
if only she were holding me
so safe from wintry storm.
I've got her on my mind
and a lonely heart on my armsleeve.
Without her near,
it beats so slowly.
Mind,
filled with her thoughts,
acknowledge your loss,
she's gone and will probably not return.
Heart,
beating so slow,
just let her love go,
for she has moved on to another--
Girl,
rocking her world
can't you see I am curled
Up and lonely and losing my mind without--
Love,
near me or far,
I can't be where you are.
I guess they were right, I should call it quit.
Author notes
another song. shows me some love loves teehee

Would be good to hear
When I read your poems, I keep thinking you're writing from a guys point of view. But no!, you're writing for the girls or a girl, nothing wrong with that. My youngest sister is gay and I'm ok with her choice. With your poems I find I'm able to hum them in my head to a song that I'm listening to. No song in particular, just whatever I'm playing at the time. I try to guess what type of song it would be, slow tempo, rock and so on. And that's the beauty of how you write. As poetry, your poem stands on its own, but as a song, that would be something else. -
