Missing image
is this how you get off?
day after day you bring me to tears
like it's some thrill to push my buttons??
i've tried to get away, tried to move on
and yet you still find ways to taunt me
with the lies you tell when my back is turned

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

you do not own me, you cannot fix me
i don't need you, i don't want you

just leave me

i just let the photo speak to me...when a woman cries, there's usually a man who hurt her. abuse is abuse, physical, mental, verbal...to bring a woman to tears with mere words is worse than thrusting a knife in her. the cycle must end.

    this is DEEP!
    I hate those that abuse in ANY form
    I don't discriminate....wrong is wrong!
    I applaud you for submitting this, I know it's hard to admit the bad things we go thru in life, but then again, it's a part of our healing process

    Abuse is a horrible thing. You would've thought our society would know better, but yet many forms of abuse are still apparent all over the world. Personally, your poem makes me angry at the world, at the moral system of society for letting this happen. So simple, but yet so complicated. I love the poem, thanks for entering!

    I can relate to this picture in more ways than one, as can many, as any sort of abuse, whether it be given by a man, a friend, physical, mental, or emotional, it is always traumatizing and leaves a scar. I like that about this pieces, that it is so easy to relate to. Wonderful take on the picture.

    Amen to that

    Often people say and do things without thought . I try to not say anything without knowing so as not to hurt anyone .And many times get walked on but thats just me .I find often kindness to those who cares for no one but themselves helps them more than retaliation . It makes them feel you can read them and this makes them nervouse but given time often they will tell you thoughts that haunts them that makes them do what they do . And in the process of talking to someone about it they find a peace hey never had before
