A Poet's Tale

Missing image

To reside in a depressing,

yet determined state of being

is to live like there is no pain or sorrow,

trudge on with my lifelong dream,

and write like there is no tomorrow...

Author notes

Above image is the poet muse, Calliope.

In all fairness to Chaucer, below is my muse's inspirational source for A Poet's Tale:

"To trudge: the slow, weary, depressing yet determined walk of a man who has nothing left in life except the impulse to simply soldier on." - Chaucer (A Knight's Tale)

I can very much relate to this poem my talented friend. I often feel like the man Chaucer described.
    Wonderful writing as usual Cyn.

To write as if there is no tomorrow! Isn't that what we all here on AP do! Our muse gets creative, and off we go! Only to think its over, and another yet begun! Very poetic my friend, and a nice tribute to all who write! ~Sie

    Yes.

    I'll agree with an adendum:
Sometimes the bottom must be embraced before your cup can be filled to overflowing Rose...soldier on.
