I woke up Sunday morning
and I did not want coffee
I did not want breakfast
I did not want my newspaper
I wanted you
you are my coffee
you are my breakfast
you are my newspaper
but you are not there
so I will sleepwalk
throughout the day
until the veil of sleep
is finally lifted
when we talk again
and the karma of
this entire world
is once again in
balance and harmony
reignited in its
luminosity by the
magical word "ello?"
Author notes
It should be self explanatory.

This is a beautiful write. I liked the second stanza the best. It makes me think of how there are sometimes people in our lives that make us happy sometimes by just merely being around. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

Lovely.........Beautiful........precious
Makes one envious of your coffee, breakfast and newspaper. The magic word is Alan, what a wonderful way with words you have, she is lucky to have all these beautiful poems written for her. (You go, boy)

Nicely written, very well put together. A delightful read and I am sure the object of the write will appreciate it...Scott

"So I will sleepwalk throughout the day..."
Impossible, for a man like you to sleepwalk...
yet, I know the feeling well of what you have
penned. Here are three bunnies with glasses
Love, Lane
