HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
Every year this day repeats
And every time it means more to me
It reminds me of things we’ve done together
And of what makes you the best daddy
You stick by my side, loyal and fearless
Knowing what life can do to a young soul
You’ve taught me the ropes, mistakes to learn from
A first hand example of what makes me whole
Without you I’d be a troubled kid, wandering frequently
Through the darkness in the night
Nothing even unique about me
Just a penny in the lake, out of sight
Love represents a part of who you are
Your heart shines true, and always wants the best
Whether you change the world or not
You continuously try, that I can attest
I have made mistakes, but you still take me back
I’ve hurt you, yet your wounds are healed
A father that gives a second chance
And lets me show how I really feel
Years have gone by, we’ve always stuck together
From an infant to teenager, my love shines high
We don’t keep falling, we pick each other up
All obstacles we will conquer and defy
From basketball to movies and all memories
From my heart to yours, I give hugs and kisses
For all the things you do keep me sane
Every moment with you always enriches
Every day is my day, because I have you
I wouldn’t want any other dad around
All things you do make me happy
And you never cease to astound
You are always going to be my dad
Which is all I could ever ask for
I hope you have a great father’s day
You are the gold in my treasure

I love seeing you and Timmy so close as children are the best gift from God that any parent can have. You are so blessed and he has expressed his love for you so very deep. All Timmy has said ,is so very true as you are a wonderful Father. Love conquors all. Through the good times and the tough times. You two are so special.

I have marveled so many times at the close relationship you and your Father have. I prayed that as you grew into manhood that you wouldnt fall into the separation that so many young men have with their Fathers. That need to posture and prove to be the better man is so typical of growing up.
Obviously you and your Father realize that you both are better people because of the love you hold for one another. How lovely to know that you will be loved...no matter what.
You are both...very special. I am honored to know you!

This is a very heartwhelming and very special piece. This written to one of the greatest dads I got to know as a friend and poet I am blessed just to see two people so close as this father and son. Not many have the blessing of sharing what the two of you have. I am thankful I got to be blessed with the gift to see it.
Stay close to your Father, son. You never know where time will take you or how far life can get one down, and let me tell you, you will have the best tool in life to conquer it all, your dad. Thanks so much for blessing me day, but most of all thank you for cherishing a great man...and...I thank you for showing me there are precious children who still have the respect and love to show their parent, both mom and dad. You make me proud to be a parent.

My dear son, I have the joy of waking this morn, and everyday to a treasure I have in you. Thanks so much for all the wonderful words that you have weaved for me this day, and from many times before. You are the best child, which makes me the best I can be, no doubt you deserve so much credit, because of how you respond to love in so many ways. Even on the darkest days. I love you so much, and I can't begin to thank you enough, but you know I'll try.
