Keep Writing

Life makes me laugh,
Life makes me cackle,
Just so I can hear my voice
in the darkness,
Trying to rule out my
bitter tears,
My tears of blood,
Neverending anger,
I want to write,
I will write,
With this pencil,
Digging in,
Becoming part of
my hand,
Talking my language,
Not verbal,
I can't do talking,
But this,
Writing,
This ancient formation
of letters,
Powering through me,
Always screaming for more,
Always an inch away from perfection...
but never reaching it,
So I keep writing,
Aiming for something,
Not knowing what something is,
I grit my teeth,
And write my thoughts,
I write my deep thoughts,
I have to dig for them,
Dig and dig,
I don't know what I'm writing,
I just write,
Digging towards the treasure,
The treasure that is probably
a nightmare,
I don't know,
That's the problem,
So I'll never stop writing,
Yeah,that's my motto,
Keep writing,
Just keep writing.
