Nothing holds me fast to this void
Where my nightmares are fragmented,
And my dreams are fabricated.
This magnificent, barren world
That lies dormant within my memory
The burden that is mine alone
Rests heavy upon my soul
And I long for someone to share it.
But my wish mingles with the taste of despair
And I cry cold tears of misery.
Oh such fleeting passion
Lays claim to my soul
Stripping me bare of everything
But the barren world within my mind.
All these thoughts that disappear
Into nothingness, with the mystery
Of every new twilight dawn.
Leaving me with no satisfaction,
Hollowed out like a jack-o-lantern.
Hungry for all that's still waiting
Beyond the edge of the stars.
Where my nightmares are fragmented,
And my dreams are fabricated.
This magnificent, barren world
That lies dormant within my memory
The burden that is mine alone
Rests heavy upon my soul
And I long for someone to share it.
But my wish mingles with the taste of despair
And I cry cold tears of misery.
Oh such fleeting passion
Lays claim to my soul
Stripping me bare of everything
But the barren world within my mind.
All these thoughts that disappear
Into nothingness, with the mystery
Of every new twilight dawn.
Leaving me with no satisfaction,
Hollowed out like a jack-o-lantern.
Hungry for all that's still waiting
Beyond the edge of the stars.

Great use of the word bank, to the point where I had to try and remember which words I put in the bank.
So, good flow.
The Jack-O-Lantern threw me off because I thought of Halloween, haha. I still got the metaphor.
.
& if I had to pick any lines to say were my favorite, I think I'd choose the last two, because they sum everything up quite concisely yet still leave you wondering what is beyond the edge of the stars.
Good luck in the contest!
