Who I am

I知 trying to be who you want me to be.
With every set that you take I知 breaking inside.
With all my hopes and dreams gone
My childhood lost
I can only be who I am.
You used to be my superman
Flying me around
With your woman on your side
Nothing could go wrong
Times changed we changed
You no longer fly me around
We don稚 sit and talk anymore
I feel the disappointment
I知 trying to be the best but I can稚
I can only be me

    it is very melancholy...

Why is it so sad? It's very touching...you seem so disapointed in a male role model...

Touching poem ~ cause life does change. We grow up, and our fathers who would defend the weak, leap tall buildings are no longer the same person. Did we change? Did they change? Maybe both of us changed.
    Maybe circumstances changed.

It is disappointing missing what was once so great. I hope you share this with your dad. It might be a terrific way for your dad to realize you want that superman back. Though, you might not get the whole superman back; you might just get a little part. You never know he might just want the same thing.

Thanks for entering the "Father's Day" contest ~ I appreciate you sharing your work with me.

    Best of luck to you,
