Sip
from my lips
the words of my heart
dripping
down my chin.
Touch
my mouth
in quiet-please
to shush
my loud grin.
Lick
the feeling
of sugar
and love
coating the
candy-I.
Hold
my hand
in trembling fear
as I scream
and silent cry:
I love you.

Oh, how I remember my first time saying, "I love you". I was just short of 19, and I remember how alien the words felt coming out of my mouth, like a foreign language... I was scared as fuck, and I can completely relate to this poor person's nervousness. Well done, and thanks for entering.

You scream the alarm of love with these short, but very well composed lines. Thanks for entering, and good luck in the contest.
