the fall into nonsense and error

it takes 21 days to make or break a habit
or so one says to me
i think i do not have 21 days to spend
on trying to do or undo something
but i am just a fool

was so uneventful
the fall into daily routines
of nonsense and error
that when realized
one could only take note
and keep on

they tell me to get rid of the mountain
that only amounts to a molehill
like the ant
be wise and store away for the winter
that always leaves me cold and aching

maybe this summer will hold promise
of a new life
though i am surely not dead
skin needs to be shed

I agree with what you are saying here. I feel this way a lot, but can't put it to words like you have done so creatively.
"though i am surely not dead
skin needs to be shed" I love this part!

Oh, I like this!!! A very interesting read, your imagery is clear and your flow is good. lol, to my mind, "bad" habits are relative!!! and sometimes the easiest way to break one is to make a new one

Thanks for sharing this and for entering my contest,

    Luck.

intriguing piece with a title that captures attention and provokes thought. well versed in that thoughts linger beyond the words on the page.
