Brought to the brink of insanity
Through the bleakness of despair,
What once was the angelic,
Is now unrecognisable in hate.
Leaving this lost world encased, ensnared,
In the vicious warmth of hell.
Spreading veins of corruption
Through this broken, shattered land of wicked sin.
What once was a serene haven,
Like a glade in the forest deep,
Now lies coated with acrid crimson.
The death of the righteous innocent
Condemned by fury to agony…
Demonic hands the origin
Of the murder of purity.
A creature once of hope, a cherub,
Loving being without wrong,
Trapped within eternity
Fallen to dark forces that move all within.
Not content to paint the picturesque –
A darling image of peace,
Instead its bringing torment,
(Pure suffering)
Devil through arrogance, spirit lost, too late.
What once was a serene haven,
Like a glade in the forest deep,
Now lies coated with acrid crimson.
The death of the righteous innocent
Condemned by fury to agony…
Demonic hands the origin
Of the murder of purity.
Willing to sacrifice for more power
The ultimate sin begins,
Bringing death to the many
Who bewildered believed it their salvation.
Splashes of pure crimson coat the earth,
It moves with fervent desire,
To see an end, extinction,
The sweet flame of life forever extinguished.
If only we had known caution
And seen the ice within that soul,
Why couldn’t we have seen
The beauty was just disguise
We need foresight of prophecy to
Catch that familiar quickening…
For evil demands penance paid,
And that creature now trapped,
To that creature trapped alone,
In that perpetual ecstasy.
(Evil quickens with insanity)
(Just perpetual ecstasy)
(Always growing malevolently)
(Just perpetual ecstasy)

Quote 4. It's about the character for my book who goes insane because she is immortal and can't stand herself and the world
