Haunted by nested wounds
lingering silently;
corners resonate regret
orchestrated by fallacy,
each insufferable echo
bellows in used beats
of suspicion;
a foreboding song
from fragile souls
as sunrise can blind eyes
to the dark depths of ruin
I find myself
immersed in pallid pages
with the intonation of blackness,
feathering painful memories
of losing you~

At least with memories I can pick and choose which ones I have to deal with. The reality of being alone doesn't give you that option. Best wishes in the contest.
