You say you want a revolution?
they want to change with destruction,
And they can't understand
that we really should let it be...
You might say that happiness is a warm gun,
but is that what You really want?
you're gonna cause more misery
if you don't take those sunken eyes and learn to see.
We'll forget the tears we've cried,
if we just learn to take a good look around
And see that we could be so much better
If they just took the time to change.
You say you’ve heard every sound there is
But you don’t hear me.
In the fog upon LA,
I’ll take my broken wings and learn to fly across the universe
Where I’ll just kick my heels up and shout that,
In the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make.
I’ll teach the world to imagine.

I like the message. I like the "broken wings" reference the best. It suited the ending.
It took skill to weave all the quotes together and incorporate the ideas from each. I personally would have preferred fewer of them though. With so many, the tendency is to be muddled. (Though I think you escaped that to a large degree.)
Good luck in the contest. ~ Joyce
