The importance of a father
to show his girl that she's number one.
A gentle baby
two pounds
four ounces she weighed.
Ripped from the womb
by drugs and betrayal.
He fought for her.
His loving hugs
and kisses.
His willingness
to fight for her.
His personality
quiet and strong...
a loving family man.
A firefighter,
an angel with a melodious voice.
His willingness never to give up...
through struggle
( He looks like his father
Grandpa rest in peace)
His willingness to go on
when he lost the one he loved
( Mom I miss you terribly)
He is strength beauty, and love
for his four growing children...
an example for all fathers who are not.
This is the importance of a Dad, a father...
someone to look up to.
Daddy...my dearest
though I have not been the best
daughter in the world,
I thank you for adopting me,
I thank you for never giving up
when times got hard.
I thank you for understanding
that life can be difficult
and I thank you for being an example,
of what someone should be.
I love you with all of my heart.

I wish I could say the same about my father;, he's no around anymore so I can't really say such beautiful words like you said about your dad.

wow. at first i thought, wow, i'm really going to be able to relate to this. then i was like, oh. it's a sweet, nice poem. nothing wrong with that though, just the first few lines made me think differently.
