My memories are dull scratched vinyl
Still-lifes of a time long ago
Frozen, muted and numb
Impaled with torments of failure
What's worse is you never knew me
Your idea of perfection
Suffocated the garden of my thoughts
Leaving weeds in the place of flowers
Tears stream down a flood
Your control weakened
By the shock of me walking away
A small price for freedom
A memory of a ghost
With scrawlings across the page
Webs form in your thoughts
And glisten with each failure
Isolated by dominance
A jaded idea of love
Solitude and agony your comfort
But my spirit is finally free

[x] I think the worst part of all, is looking back, I'm not sorry that I hurt you, because it meant I managed to escape you.

'My memories are dull scratched vinyl

and...
'Solitude and agony your comfort
But my spirit is finally free'
I love that opening and beginning, they were especially strong.
This has beautiful imagery, especially of the weeds replacing flowers.
