Enigma

Missing image
Eyes straining to focus
whilst my mind keeps replaying
the melodic orchestral beats
of "The Blue Danube"

heart and soul completely
entranced by such an enigma

yet .............
this angel dancing on my table
was never anything more
than trompe l'oeil

Author notes

Picture Prompt: Lonely Lamperina by Zach Virgilio.

"trompe l'oeil" translates to: "trick of the eye".

I like your music box dancer take on the prompt... or maybe it was just a memory, or an illusion the remembered strains of music evoked. Congratulations on the HM.
