Man of the Forest

Silas Ray beholds
a cathedral of trees.
Where he walks - there is no light,
but new buds blossom
in the sacred shadow.

Crowned with ivy;
his eyes are wise
and his smile, kind.

Author notes

Silas Ray (Sigh-lahs or "sigh-less")) .. it means "Man of the Forest" .. this would've been my daughter's name, if she'd been born a boy .. the "Ray" is a family name, but it means "Regal/Royal", so I had it "translated" in my head to all mean "King of the Forest", which I further took to think of as a man blessed by the green man of the forest.

    This was well done and thought out. I like that name and the meaning. The way you personally interpret it makes it seem mystical.
