Silent scream erupting at night
fears realized after light
Being lead into a crowded room
a few realize an odd fume
Screams suddenly break out
no one in camp hears a shout
In a place full of death
no time to take a breath
People worked to the bone
there you are never alone
Always being watched by cruel eyes
waiting for your life, a prize
Everyone you know wasting away
looking more skeletal every day
There is no hope to flee
not here in Germany
Author notes
Obviously (I hope) about concentration camps in Germany. Too bad the back ground has pirate ships, oh well.

oh wow! what a powerful write with wonderful imagery and raw emotions! your last lines, the ending was really strong, it wrapped this poem up perfectly! brilliant!

Certainly places of well-deserved fear! Nice rhyming of couplets. Congratulations on the gold!

Cake! You get chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles. Hope you like chocolate. I liked how you never actually mention in the poem what it's about. However, it clearly was about concentration camps, what with alluding to gas chambers and such. Great write.

Haha, if only you had known I wrote it. Then you wouldn't have to doubt my love of chocolate! Yummy, that cake sounds amazing.
