A Rainbow Full Of Life

If prayers could be a color
Would you paint them Black and blue
Would you wish them all away
Or would you color them with truth
If your dreams were on a movie screen
Would you rewrite the scenes
Would you make yourself a star
Or stay just the way you are

If you could capture time within your heart
Would you spend it all with him
Or would you waste it all away
Waiting for eons to take place
And when you pray and you close your eyes
Is he still the one you see
In the visions of your mind
Do you still belong to Christ

To me a prayer is a rainbow
For the world of man to see
That we still have hopes and dreams
And God's promises he keeps
And our dreams are shared with someone
Who is with us deep inside
In a beating heart that cares
Because somebody's living there

The time we have is a precious path
And it's leading us to life
It's teaching us to do
All the things he wants us too
And the love we have isn't just an act
It's a feeling for the truth
It's a promise made with blood
And a precious life raised up

Life is a secret kept in faith
It's shared with very few
A spirit that's renewed
A mystery for two
Eternity is just a word
For a promise full of hopes
A legacy of laws
That God gave to us because

He saw creation as a way
To share his perfect love
A family at last
And he taught to us the past
And he wrote about us in a book
And he spoke the word alive
And he sent it down to us
And the word we crucified

So the next time that you ask for grace
Or a healing for your pain
Or forgiveness for a sin
Or another year to live
Remember that the life you have
Belongs to someone else
It isn't yours to save
It's the Fathers all the way

Just live the path thats in his hand
And you'll know what you should do
Keep all his ten commands and
Always lend a helping hand
And above all else, worship only God
And believe every word of Christ
You'll have your prayers
And hopes and dreams

And a rainbow Full of life
