Past Mars and All the Stars

i took a trip to mars
it was a far, far away
the dead sisters of astronauts
strode on the meteor highway by my side
they sung to me like harpies
and i smiled at them without gravity

i used my skin to float through space
and in the black i saw a great bird
whose beak was sleek and frictionless
its eyes were star-crows fishing for light;

the sun was behind me, but it was cold
saturn's cookie rings were smooth to brush by
(this was when I'd passed the red planet
with hyper-speed i fled cosmic omnipresence)
and i landed beyond vocal cords

Lazarus shone like the pale side of a grass blade
my heart skipped beats and his mind heard them

he spoke to me in ripples
and flew me into dreamscape
the blue was mute
but the hot was firm
ether, bottom
nowhere, man
it wasn't anywhere at all

oh, but it was everwhere
and poe was there, and for once
he was smiling
his mustache trembling
but his baby hands clasping non-oxygen

Jim Morrison wasn't there
but God was, somewhere

I wondered what to do,
Continue? and risk to miss this?
Blue beauty planet discovery...
I wondered what to do,
continue and pioneer and never fear
and get sucked into the other side of
a black hole, whole, wondering
what to do... my mind was
a spiral within itself.

i never returned.

I don't think I could ever get tired of your words lol.

    This:

"Lazarus shone like the pale side of a grass blade
my heart skipped beats and his mind heard them

he spoke to me in ripples
    and flew me into dreamscape
    the blue was mute
    but the hot was firm
    ether, bottom
    nowhere, man
    it wasn't anywhere at all"

Is incredible. I feel like I'm sleeping, spinning in a tangled web of dreams. It's a mess but it's beautiful. I love dreaming.

thank you for your kind words. i kind of wrote this as a sort of im prompt tu piece, so i know its not quite as polished as i would like it to be, but i am glad you liked it nonetheless. i think this came from a dream i once had.
