Lost in thought
I cannot find
the reasons that you left me behind,
I am locked in here
in my dying soul,
because of you I fear
to once again be whole.
I need you to see
and not leave me behind you,
to see that forever I will love you.
I know you have locked me out
and that in this place I will stay,
but what you did not know
is that you will always be at bay,
always within hearing distance
of my painful cries at night
of my tears that scream out,
but by being here I realize
you werent right for me.
Though it took a long time for me to see
now I have a place to be me
and a wonderful place of my own,
a place I can be free.
Author notes
This was a tribute to my lil sister. This is how she likely would feel if he left her. I know but she gave me permission to write about it. She is strong and a wonderful person. I know she moves on easily and lives life to its fullest. No matter the situation I know she will make it the best she can!
