childhood's end

Time and distance expired
as the sun and earth merged;
childhood's end,
a new rebirth.

Author notes

The image immediately sent me to the ending scenes of A.C. Clarkes book, Childhood's End.

The poem makes more sense if you see the image with the contest:

    Thank You!!

Thank You for Your entry: childhood's end
This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I did several times~
I kept being shown a map~ okies...now the map I am seeing is similar to the one from LOTR- like golden in color~ and has symbolisms for mountains-rivers etc: strangely it has like disappearing ink butttttt
getting word: Prince- Oy~ I'm getting snippets that are flying so fast...I'm trying to decipher
Ooooooooh now being shown a type of gadget coincidentally it was in the movie: 13Ghosts- that machine the Uncle built~ and getting reference to an eclipse- but number 8...and unable to make out the second number which I thought was a 7 at first-
I'm being given word: yo-yo~ and shown the image
Nudged to mention: You are in the driver's seat- metaphor or symbolism...but hearing: like You would understand
    Hopefully that makes some sense
Powerful images You have brought forth

    These words grabbed and pulled~
    childhood's end, a new rebirth.
    Unique Voice spoken~

Thank You for sharing Your Heart also Spirit!
Best wishes to You in the contest Sweet Soul
    **Judging will be done shortly...
    Many blessings too
    and much love~ Desire~*~
