Time to Look Around

Lord God,
I could write so many songs
Just to praise your name
But there is so much more you have done for us.
So many little things.

Stopping to view them all would take what you have given us...a lifetime.

From the wonders of the morning dew,
To the eccentric webs of the venomous spiders.

From our view of the starry night,
To the fog rising off the lake in the morn.

Yes, I could jump up and down, praising your name, thanking you over and over...
but for my thankfulness to come through to it's full potential....
for everybody at that..
we must explore.

Feel the green blades bow under our arched feet as we tread them.
Breath in the crisp frozen air around us.
Wrap ourselves in the so gentle, yet demanding wind.
Soak our minds in the watery abyss that never fails.

Lord,
It amazes me that you can form each one different...
from teeth to prints upon our hands.
How we think and view what you have created...
For us.

Lord...
If I could stop the society of the day and give them all wings to fly away
and view this wondrous earth...if only.

I pray the people would soon come to see
just how little time we have...

And break free of society to follow their own dreams.
Take their own path on this world you have made Lord...

So here I stand,
knowing you won't flood the land...
but asking to help them see.

One life.
One Earth.
One God.
