Thank You Daddy

Missing image
Daddy you were here
right from the start
Cradled me in your arms
gave me your heart

Feeding, cuddling,
holding me close
Kissing me gently
tickling my nose

Always loving me
and keeping me near
Scaring away the monsters
calming my fears

Thank you my Daddy
I could'nt love you more
Happy Father's Day
it's you I adore

Author notes

Picture above is of Jasmine our daughter taken while at the park yesterday June 12, 2008. We adopted her at birth she is our angel sent from God. I wrote this poem for her to give to her Daddy my hubby on Father's Day. Jasmine is 3 and a half years old. Her father is an amazing man we love him so much and are so lucky to have him in our lives. Happy Father's Day!

    Touching!

A touching and beautiful tribute to your husband and Jasmine's father. Every child should be so loved by their family. You would think that would just be a given, but as you know not everyone gets the love they deserve. What a lucky little girl to have such loving parents, and what lucky parents to have such a precious child to love! Blessings, Patty

This is sooooooooo Sweet. A wonderful tribute to a real Dad. My daughter is also adopted. We were ask to adopt her when her birth mother was just 3 mons preg. I was a L&D nurse and helped to deliver her. I also breast fed her with the help of a pump and a lactaide. God gives us such wonderful miracles. Love and Light Sharon
