Wishing you an unlikely lucky Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th is considered a day of bad luck.
By relaying fears in superstitions such as hitting a truck or losing a buck.
The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia in yer face
Signifying fear of the number thirteen appearing in any case.

Both the 13 and Friday have been considered unlucky
As the number’s almost as irregular as an uneven swimming ducky.
Rossini regarded Friday as an unlucky day
And on Friday 13th his days were numbered in dismay.

When the date of ill fate finally does make an appearance
the superstition's historicity or longevity requires adherence.
Many people are affected by a fear of this day.
Some use this as an excuse not to get out of bed as if they would’ve anyway.

The longest period that can occur without a Friday the 13th is fourteen months,
So now’s the time to bet on horses and gamble with wit  misspelt  calculated sumths.
Should you however resent some unfortunate events you sense with your gut
Don’t feel too moonstruck or insist being stuck in a rut stating if and but.

Since this is one day you can’t just wish away whether at work or play
If planning&apprehensive take chances even if expensive just blame it on the day.

Ha! I don't recall ever reading a poem about Friday the 13th here on AP before! I like the subject, that's a nice fresh idea for a poem, and I liked what you talked about, and the humor you used. I especially like line 3 in the first stanza; I didn't know there was a phobia for Friday the 13th! Great job, you entertained me!
