Silently staring into this ugly world
And the crowd, always asking for more
This new age culture begs for new idols
The handmade gods enjoying themselves
Deceit into her already worn out brains
She begs for the bonds to be released
Ropes choking her lungs to starvation
She can't scream, no, she wants not to
God knows about mistakes and reasons
But perfection, a useless requirement
Telling her she would be a new sold out
Her mind dwells, gazing away from birth
But 9 billions can't love the same being
Starve yourself, yes, wear yourself out
Throw your life and beg for love utopias
Can't find yourself dancing between moths?
Dried wings can't dry themselves more
You forgot there are irreligious people
Who don't kneel down before fake beliefs
Learn, dear, learn: Be loved by yourself
Scorn is deserved as well, but said haters
They miss the beauty of a nest in a storm
[No need to read from here]
And there was him
Staring at the same pretty, rejecting world
Dead freedom is vomited from his stomach
Starvation also accompanies his journey
For he's a single person in this earth
But for a single person, he wants to be
the WORLD
Author notes
She couldn't put her true feelings into words, even if she wanted to.
She still hadn't put it all together to her own satisfaction.
All she knew was, the thinner she got, the better she felt about herself.
There might be a chance to build a brand-new person,
someone stronger, more perfect in every way.
Prompt.
Feel free to disqualify me.

This was amazing! Why would I disqualify this? This had so much emotion, and was written in a way that seemed so realistic, with a beautiful flow. I agree about the utopia part, it was one of my favorite lines. Shocking write, but beautiful. Thanks for the entry!

The message was not for you. This poem was written for another contest, yet said contest was closed because of the lack of entries. As you found the meanings between those lines, I hope the one who held the previously mentioned contest finds them too.
