I spell my name Z A M I,
rejoice in sisterhood
and my
foremothers
who have gone before.
I spell my name Zami,
without (too much) fear
of rejection
of dicrimination
I spell my name Zami
with a sense of liberation,
and I debt my liberation
in part to Audre Lorde.
