Dear world, this so called
joyous, beautiful world
She continued to write
as blood rushed from
within
Take this as a last goodbye
this was no place for someone
like myself to continue suffering
Naturally I wouldn't have bothered
with goodbyes and apologies
in this case it might be time
to come clean with my sins
Scripted in the ink of
her generous supply
of blood
You could call this a suicide note
but I prefer it as a simple
letter addressed to the world
and everyone in it
Maybe it will get you to realize
the pain many so carefully hide
behind guilt stricken eyes
Some say she lost her mind that day
others argue it was the depression
intertwining with her deteriorating
defected genetics
Here I breathe with one last cold hearted
statement
To this community in which I call home
look at each other, really dig down
see the evil burning embers within
a little piece of hell resides
in everyone of you
Don't get me wrong I thank you
all for pushing me over the edge
giving me courage to commit
this most heinous act
Now sit back and watch as I jump
I'm sorry for staining your minds
with thoughts that could have saved
many lives today
But mine, no, it's to far gone
tell me I'm crazy, insane
it just pushes me more
Stand back and laugh
as I leap, flinging myself
over the cliff you've placed
in my way
Did you think one little obstacle
would stop me
Well I'm sorry to say no it didn't
honestly I give my sincerest apologies
for making your life improve with the
loss of mine
Dropped dead like a bullet to the heart
goodbyes and apologies was all she wrote

oooh this is good. it really paints a picture for me of sad eyes and goodbyes. a beautifully written poem written about a subject that i so often see writers end up whining about. not that anyone in this position doesnt have plenty to whine about, but whats most striking about it is you didnt. i liked the form of it too, the thoughts mixed with a letter no person should have to write. gives a reader plenty to think about.
