Prayer is worth more than a rose
in my hand where love grows
for God and all he knows.
The rose has a thorn,
Which Jesus felt on the crown he had worn.
The rose is red as the blood from his head ,
As Jesus fell with his cross and he wears a cloth that has been torn.
The rose is still in my hand and I think of the future instead.
Even if the rose is wilting God's love stays with us longer.
Jesus is not forgotton when petals fall to the ground.
I feel my heart pounding as it beats faster my love is stronger.
Prayer is a part of our life in the world all around.
Now the petals wilted They remind me of ashes which is a body after death,
but my soul returns to heaven where god will be found.
My soul will have a new life after I take my last breath.
Author notes
blooming poet told me to use punctuation throughout poem
so I did correct that.

The story unfolds gently along with rhyme and reason!
Nicely done,

Beautiful truly beautiful
I love this write and it speaks such truth indeed . Bless you honey and yes prayer is the very life blood of us all to see glory before us and know the path is often riddled with barriers but as long as we keep our faith we shall see him just ahead of us showing the way .Listen to his whispers within each of our heads for there he often plays

wonderful imagery

Punctuation aside
It's still readable and discernable as to the message - a wonderful write! Would that we hade more metaphorical poems here! Add this to the reading list when you get the chance, please!

okay, a few things. First if you are going to do punctuation or any theme or rhyme it should be throughout the entire poem or not at all. Finally I love the theme.
